Enrichment Classes are "fee
based," that is, they do not receive any
state funds and must be self-supporting. The
enrollment fee is based upon projected
registration. In order for a class to be a
"go," it must have a minimum number of
students registered and paid by the end of the
first hour of the first class meeting. If the
minimum is not reached, the class may be
cancelled. The administration may suggest that
the hours per class or the number of classes in
the session be reduced, while keeping the fee
the same. Fee Based classes are designed for
adults, 18 and over.
Cake
Decorating
Learn the art of cake decorating. No previous
experience necessary. Instruction is given
bilingually. Supply list is provided at
registration.
Modern Egyptian Belly
Dancing - Beginning
This class covers simple figure eight moves and
belly dance techniques, such as shoulder arm,
chest abdominal and hip isolation along with the
proper shimmy technique. Basic turns and
traveling steps are introduced. The students will
have an opportunity to put dance steps into
combinations at the end of class.
Modern Egyptian Belly
Dancing- Intermediate
This class covers complex combination moves and
steps. Focus is on completion undulations,
vibration, turns, and traveling steps. The veil
and finger cymbals are also used. The students
will learn choreography to Arabic music at the
end of class. Prerequisite:
Beginning Egyptian / Belly Dancing.
Zumba® Fitness and Rhythm
A dynamic, exiting fitness process that uses
Latin and international music and dance in a
mixture of body sculpting movements in an easy
to follow dance routine that includes basic
steps from meringue, cumbia, salsa, quebradita,
and reggeton. The Instructor is Zumba® certified
and ready to get you moving. Ditch the workout.

Finance and Business
Notary Public Test Preparation Seminar
Take the steps to become a Certified Notary
Public and be able to start your own business.
This intensive class is designed to equip you
with everything you need to know to become an
effective notary. Class will cover the "New
Notary Laws" and how to pass the new test,
correctly indentify document signer, keep a
journal, fill out certificates and avoid
lawsuits.
An opportunity to take the Official California
State Notary Public Exam will be given directly
following the seminar.
Notary Public
This class prepares students to pass the State
exam and begin their own business as a Notary
Public. Enrollees must be 18 years of age and
bring an official picture ID.
Loan Signing for Notary Publics -
Pre-requisite: Successful completion of Notary
Public class
This class increases skills be adding loan
signing to your Notary Public resume.

Business Soft Skills Series
Take the opportunity to develop the skills
needed to progress in the business environment
under the instruction of a business professional
with yours of experience. Seven, consecutive,
three hour class meetings cover seven different
topics, one each week, as follows:
Week 1 - Effective Communication for Career
Success
Avoid miscommunications and conflicts by being
crystal clear. Learn techniques of active
listening, open ended questioning, paraphrasing,
story telling, etc. Group activities may be
included.
Week 2 - Body Language for Career Success
Learn to deliver the message you intend through
body language techniques, define body language,
how to read other's, and how to develop and use
your own. Group activities may be included.
Week 3 - Negotiations for Career Success
Without realizing it, we negotiate throughout
our entire day. Learn how to orchestrate a
win-win situation and avoid conflict by gaining
an understanding of negotiating styles and terms
like Options, ATNA, BATNA. Group activities may
be included.
Week 4 - Emotional Intelligence for Career
Success
Discover the definition of Emotional
Intelligence/Emotional Quotient and how to use
it to advance a career in today's competitive
workplace. Discussions will cover empathy,
impulse control, emotional hijacking, self
awareness, social awareness, and assertiveness.
Week 5 - Interpersonal Skills for Career
Success
This is considered the most critical and
important skill for career success either as a
new candidate entering the job market or a
seasoned employee wanting to move ahead.
Week 6 - Managing Time for a Successful Life
Develop the skill to manage your own time
instead of the clock managing. Receive many
practical ideas and tips.
Week 7 - Meyers Briggs Type Indicator for
Career Success
Take the opportunity to complete a Type
Indicator assessment and discover your
individual, unique, 4 basic type preferences.
Receive your results and a copy of "Introduction
to Type"®. Uncover new ways to successfully
interact with others.
